Angel Thunder

Staff Sgt. Ivan Eggel (left) and Senior Airman Troy Patrick sync their radios before taking off in an HH-60 Pave Hawk from the 305th Rescue Squadron. They were headed to Gila Bend, Ariz., on July 25 for rescue training as part of Exercise Angel Thunder. The five-day exercise, held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., and other areas is designed to provide realistic combat search and rescue training for active-duty, Reserve and Guard Airmen in combat rescue forces. Sergeant Eggel and Airman Patrick are pararescuemen with the 48th Rescue Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Christina Ponte)
