Final Angel Thunder Environmental Assessment Released

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. – Air Combat Command released a “Finding of No Significant Impact” today as part of the final Environmental Assessment for the upcoming Angel Thunder Personnel Recovery/Rescue Training Exercise, scheduled to take place in Arizona, May 6-20.

 

The EA was sent out for a public comment period beginning Mar. 3 and concluding Apr. 4.

 

The Air Force appreciates the public’s participation, as well as the support and coordination from many intergovernmental agencies, tribes and other stakeholders.  All comments were reviewed and considered in reaching the final determination.

Angel Thunder is a joint service, multinational, interagency Combat Search and Rescue exercise designed to provide training for personnel recovery assets using scenarios to simulate deployment conditions and contingencies.
