DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. – Col. Joseph Turnham, the 355th Wing commander, has directed an upgrade from Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Bravo to Charlie in response to the increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region.

The health of our Airmen, their families and the Tucson community remains our top priority. This is a prudent measure taken to help minimize the potential spread of the virus at Davis-Monthan and within the county.

This advanced posture enhances the installation’s ability to protect the force, safeguard national security missions and support whole-of-government efforts to combat COVID-19.

COVID-19 mitigations policies and procedures currently being observed on the installation include:

  • Observance of strict hygiene practices
  • Physical distancing of personnel to the maximum extent possible
  • Mask requirements for personnel that are unable to maintain six feet of physical distancing
  • Cancellation of large-scale community events

Updated Davis-Monthan facility hours will be shared at https://www.dm.af.mil/COVID-19-Updates/ when available.
