The Air Combat Command Heritage Flight Training and Certification Course will take place at Davis-Monthan Feb 25 through March 3. During the course, aircrews will perform ground and flight training to enable civilian pilots of historic military aircraft and Air Force pilots of current fighter aircraft to safely fly formations together.

Heritage flights are important for recruiting and public awareness of the Air Force mission. This year's historic aircraft flying in the training include the P-51 and TF-51 Mustang, the P-40 Warhawk, the P-38 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt and the F-86 Sabre. ACC aircraft include the F-22 Raptor, A-10 Thunderbolt II and the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Media are invited to cover the event February 28th. Please RSVP to the 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office at 228-3406 or 228-3202 by 4:30 p.m. on Feb 26. Information about the performance schedule and interview times are also available by calling the 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office.
