6/26/2013 - DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, ARIZ.,  -- For July 4, D-M is scheduled to hold a few events to celebrate the holiday.

The base pool is slated to be open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Regular admission prices will apply. There will be party bags for young children and free food. There will also be pool related games that all family members can partake in.

Shuttles for the fireworks are scheduled to start running at 5:30 p.m from Heritage Park, the Sonoran Science Academy and Borman School.

Pre-firework events are slated to begin at 6 p.m. at Bama Park. Private organizations will be selling food and games will be available as well as The Desert Cadillacs Band. Firework are planned to begin at 9 p.m.

Handicap parking is available at Outdoor Recreation and the auto hobby shop parking lot. For those who park there, their cars must have a handicap license plate or handicap placard hanging from their rearview mirror.

Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets, but do not bring pets, coolers or alcoholic beverages.

In the event of inclement weather, walk to Outdoor Recreation, base Theater or take the bus back to vehicle parking areas.

Swan Gate will be open after the fireworks for outbound traffic only.
