The Desert Lightning Team invites the Tucson community to its Open House, held on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, March 23-24, 2019. Guests will experience aerial demonstrations and learn more about the Airmen and aircraft carrying out the Air Force mission here. The Open House is an opportunity to say thank you for the support the local communities provide to the base throughout the year and D-M looks forward to hosting community members spring 2019.

The airshow was moved to better accommodate performer requirements. It also provides Arizona the chance to host an airshow annually by establishing alternating years for Luke Air Force Base and D-M open houses.

Currently, D-M and Luke AFB have airshows just one week apart every other year. Off-setting airshows will enable more Arizonans to enjoy both airshows while giving vendors the opportunity to patronize both events.

The headline performer for the 2019 airshow will be the United States Air Force Thunderbirds!

Support 12th Air Force (AFSOUTH) operations, an Air National Guard air sovereignty mission, four combat operations groups, and the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group. Ensure the readiness of all forces to fly, fight and win in support of the Joint fight.
