55th Electronic Combat Group

The 55th Electronic Combat Group (55 ECG) provides combat-ready EC-130H COMPASS CALL aircraft, crews, maintenance and operational support to combatant commanders. The group also plans and executes information operations, including information warfare and electronic attack, in support of theater campaign plans. Members of the 55 ECG conduct EC-130H aircrew initial qualification and difference training for 10 aircrew specialties and support operational and force development testing and evaluation for new aircraft systems.

41st Electronic Combat Squadron

The 41st Electronic Combat Squadron (41 ECS) was activated at D-M in July 1980. The 41 ECS provides war-fighting commanders with combat ready EC-130H COMPASS CALL aircraft and aircrews trained to execute electronic attack and information warfare strategy. The squadron conducts op¬erations designed to degrade the transfer of information essential to command and control of enemy weapons systems and other resources. To ensure the unit's ability to carry out its wartime mission, the 41st Electronic Combat Squadron also con¬ducts mission qualification training for EC-130H flight crews, mission crews and support person¬nel.

42d Electronic Combat Squadron

The 42d Electronic Combat Squadron (42 ECS) is the sole electronic attack formal flight training unit in the Air Force that provides the 55 ECG with initial mission and upgrade qualified EC-130H COMPASS CALL professional aviators. Over 185 students are trained annually in 9 aircrew positions and 22 Air Combat Command-approved syllabi. Additionally, the 42 ECS supplements the 55 ECG with combat-ready aircrews to meet warfighting commander requirements and provides COMPASS CALL mission crew simulator support for both continuation and initial qualification training.

43d Electronic Combat Squadron

The 43d Electronic Combat Squadron (43 ECS) was activated at D-M April 1, 1992. The 43 ECS provides war-fighting commanders with combat-ready EC-130H COMPASS CALL aircraft and air¬crews trained to execute combat information warfare operations. The squadron conducts operations to degrade the transfer of information essential to enemy weapon systems and battlefield resource command and control. The squadron also performs mission qualification training for EC-130H flight crews, mission crews and support personnel.

755th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

The 755th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (755 AMXS) provides war-fighting commanders with combat-ready EC-130H COMPASS CALL aircraft to expeditiously execute information warfare and electronic attack operations. The 755 AMXS plans and executes all on-equipment maintenance actions for 14 EC-130H and 1 TC-130H aircraft. These actions include launch, recovery, scheduled inspections, servicing and component replacement. They also conduct all maintenance training, aircrew debriefing and supply functions.

755th Operations Support Squadron

The 755th Operations Support Squadron (755 OSS) supports 55 ECG worldwide combat missions and contingency taskings. The squadron directs operational support functions including plans, exercises, aircrew flight-equipment, cryptologic training, ECG scheduling, weapons and tactics for four EC-130H COMPASS CALL squadrons. The unit performs information analysis, targeting and intelligence activities.
