Chief Master Sergeant KELVIN J. BECKER

CMSgt Kelvin J. Hatcher is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 355th Wing, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. He is the senior enlisted advisor for one of the largest installations and flying operations in the United States Air Force, with more than 46,000 personnel, 152 aircraft, and 51 billion dollars in assets. He advises the installation commander and staff on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare of the command’s 6,200 enlisted Airmen. The 355th Wing operates the A-10 Thunderbolt II, HH-60W, and HC-130J as well as three Guardian Angel Squadrons executing with installation’s Rescue and Attack mission. The wing has units at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona and Nellis AFB, Nevada. Chief Hatcher also provides leadership and direction for Total Force support to Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and Customs and Border Patrol agencies including 34 mission partners and 11,000 Airmen.

Chief Hatcher enlisted into the Air Force in September 2000 and later graduated from the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Apprentice Course in May 2001. Throughout his career, Chief Hatcher has served in multiple capacities within the Civil Engineer functional community, ranging from base level to Headquarters Air Force, as well as a Technical Training Instructor. Additionally, Chief Hatcher has served as Base Honor Guard Program Manager and Inspector General Superintendent. His assignments include bases in Japan, Wyoming, Washington, Texas, North Dakota, Washington D.C., Arizona and Florida. Chief Hatcher has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOMS SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, SPARTAN SHIELD, ENDURING SENTINEL and ALLIES REFUGE. Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Hatcher served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 33d Fighter Wing, Eglin AFB, Florida.
