Recently Airmen and members of the D-M community competed in a base talent show.

Eight contestants performed before a crowd of about 110 people at the Mirage Club. The performers showed off their singing, dancing, and guitar playing skills.

Airman 1st Class Saphfire Cook, 355 Fighter Wing photojournalist, won the competition with her performance of Beyonce's "Halo". Airman 1st Class Christopher Malone and Staff Sgt. Maria Kehoe placed second and third, respectively

"I had a great time," said Cook. "It was a really professional set up. They had lights and sound checks, and it was nice to meet other people in the area who love to perform. We had a great audience and it was just a really fun night."

Prior to the competition the contestants were required to go to one of the three auditions held. The performers were the top eight of 11 to tryout.

The third annual D-M's Got Talent show was brought together by the Culture of Responsible Choices and was funded by the Air Force Association, First Sergeant Executive Council, Ms. Jolene Dedmon, and Mr. Ray Parrish.
