The softball season is scheduled to officially begin here May 13 at 5 p.m. This year, there are approximately 25 teams participating.

"The softball season is good for the base, because you are able to get multiple units together and have a friendly, competitive game while getting to know more people around the base," said Staff Sgt. Michael Feighery, 355th Force Support Squadron unit fitness program manager.

All active duty members, their spouses and dependents, Department of Defense personnel and contractors are eligible to play. Dependents must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Anyone interested in playing should talk to their unit's sports representative. They will be able to provide more information regarding teams.
