The Eagle's Nest Snack Bar and Grill has opened its doors again, and it has come back with a few improvements.

Improvements include the relocation of the cash register, installation of new blinds and carpeting, and more. All improvements have created more space and comfort for customers.

"We moved the cash register to the area closest to the door so the cashier is ready to take your order as soon as you enter," said James Kraykovich, D-M Lanes and Blanchard Golf Course manager.

There is also a new digital menu. The kitchen area has received a new grill and griddle, refrigerated units for making salads and wraps, a condiment counter, and a beverage island for easy access to all beverages.

"The improvements made to the Eagle's Nest help the flow of the process for the customer," Kraykovich said.

Along with the look, service has also been retouched. Before, customers would place their orders and wait to have their numbers called to pick up their food. Now, customers will have their food brought to them creating even less chance of a "traffic jam" as was sometimes common with the previous design and process.

The design and process are not the only things that were improved. New items such as French toast, sweet potato tots, fried shrimp baskets, wraps, and several salads were added to the menu.

"We add all these items because it offers something unique to the Eagle's Nest that other eateries on base don't have," Kraykovich said. "We added the wraps and different salads to help promote healthy eating."

The Eagle's Nest is open daily from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. to all that have base access. It can be reserved for meetings and events, and a comprehensive catering menu is planned for future endeavors.

"We look forward to serving the Desert Lightning Team and community," Kraykovich said.
