Antiterrorism/Force Protection Intelligence Fusion Cell

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. --  Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is the home of a first-of-its-kind security organization known as the Intelligence Fusion Cell.

The IFC includes 355th Security Forces Squadron Intelligence/Investigations, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, 355th Fighter Wing Intelligence, Resource Protection, Critical Asset Risk Management and the Antiterrorism/Force Protection Officer, is designed to protect and safe guard our personnel. It was the first in place installation level IFC in the Air Force.

On Sept. 27, 2011 355th FW/AT-FP received the final funding phase to renovate and equip more than 2,000 sq. ft. of dedicated space within the 355 FW headquarters building for this critical mission.

The uniquely collocated capabilities possessed by the agencies of the IFC ensure the successful protection of D-M's missions. The personnel of the IFC are integrated daily with civilian law enforcement and multiple Department of Defense agencies looking at potential threats to the installation and the region. Information and intelligence received is immediately relayed to the Installation Threat Working Group, which provides recommendations to the installation commander for action.

The information gathered by the IFC and TWG is essential to providing appropriate recommendations to the installation commander. You are an important part of that information flow. While we don't all wear a weapon to work each day, in a sense protection of the base is everyone's responsibility.

If you see something out of the ordinary or any suspicious activity on or off the installation, please contact the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the area where you observed the activity as soon as possible.
