This year, the 355th Fighter Wing Safety Office is throwing together the annual 101 Critical Days of Summer campaign at the Mirage Club on May 24 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The 101 Critical days of summer officially starts May 25 2012 and ends Sept 4 2012.

"Our goal for this campaign is to reduce or eliminate preventable mishaps through providing safety education," said Tech. Sgt. Kevin Armstrong, 355th Fighter Wing ground safety non-commissioned officer. "The Desert Lightning Team will learn about safety topics ranging from pool safety, fall protection, texting while driving and much more."

The event consists of safety demonstrations, safety information and prizes to encourage participants. Additionally, there is a mass motorcycle mentorship safety ride.

All educational materials for 101 Critical Days of Summer can be found on Sharepoint.
"The 355th Fighter Wing ground safety office has created posters, brochures, powerpoints and helpful information for each week of 'Safety - It's Personal', for your use in prevention efforts," said Armstrong. "We hope to make this a mishap-free summer season."
