Medical Group appointment cancellation policy

  • Published
The 355th Medical Group here would like to remind patients with their No-Show and Cancellation of Appointments policy.

A "no-show" will be identified when the following occurs:

· Patient fails to show up at their appointment time or fail to provide at the latest, a two hour prior notice to cancel their appointment.
· Patient checks-in to their appointment five minutes after the scheduled appointment time. A patient who does arrive late can either wait to see if an opening is available due to an unbooked or cancelled appointment, consult with a nursing staff member to determine whether the condition can be managed through self-care or reschedule the appointment by calling 228-2778

Please note that dental appointments will remain the current standard of a 24-hour notice to cancel an appointment. Any cancellations within the 24-hours of the appointment will constitute a dental no-show.

Failure to provide 24-hour notice to cancel appointments deprives other patients from receiving needed medical care.

For Active Duty members only, no-show letters will be sent to all commanders and first sergeants for all frequent offenders with three or more missed appointments in a six month period.
