February was National Children's Dental Health Month. Dental practices across the country took the month to donate time and care to improve the oral health of our nation's children.

The 355th Dental Squadron participated by visiting six different elementary schools and reaching 785 children. Groups of doctors, assistants and cleaning technicians gave short presentations reviewing brushing and flossing techniques, as well as dietary suggestions to prevent dental disease. Videos and skits were used to demonstrate what children can expect when they visit the dentist, and songs were used to reinforce oral hygiene suggestions.

Children received kits including toothbrushes, dental floss, and workbooks of fun dental-related activities.
