D-M units win Air Force Electronic Warfare Awards

The 55th Electronic Combat Group and the 755th Operations Support Squadron received awards at the Air Force Electronic Warfare Annual Awards Program.

The AFEWAA P is held once a year, and recognizes individuals and units that further the aims of the United States and electronic warfare through outstanding performance.

"The Airmen of the 55th ECG have always worked diligently to provide precision non-kinetic fires both in the States and in combat Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom," said Col. Dean Worley, 55th ECG commander. "We are very proud and honored to have our efforts to dominate the electromagnetic spectrum recognized at the Air Force and ACC levels."

The 55th ECG won for Outstanding Electronic Warfare Unit of the Year Level II for 2009.

The 755th OSS won for Outstanding Team of the Year Level II for 2008.
