DM-50 picnic coming to Bama Park soon Published April 12, 2010 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The annual DM-50 picnic is scheduled for April 17 at Bama Park from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. The picnic will provide a variety of entertainment, free food and drinks for Airmen and their families. Music, entertainment and dancing festivities will include: The Clearwater Band, a disc jockey, car show, explosive ordinance disposal demo, fire truck, canine unit and police car, as well as mechanical bull rides, bounce castles, and a mini train ride for kids. Bus transportation will be available to tour the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group. The 45-minute tours will begin at 12 P.M., 1 P.M., and 2 P.M. leaving from Bama Park. Free food and refreshment will include burgers, hotdogs, chips, beverages, cotton candy, and snow cones. Parking locations for picnic-goers will be at Heritage Park, Borman Elementary and the Sonoran Science Academy. Shuttle services will pick up attendees at the parking locations and transport picnic-goers to Bama Park beginning at 10:30 a.m. Shuttles are scheduled to run every half hour, with the last shuttle scheduled to run at 4:30 p.m. Additional parking will be available at the Golf Course, Theater & Thunderbolt softball field.
