Coggan 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- This Fourth of July, there will be a number of events scheduled on base for D-M families. From 10 to 12 p.m. there will be a skate demonstration and competitions for ages five and up at the skate park and a pool party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with youth party bags for children 10 and under, pizza, beverages and family pool games. Shuttle transportation from Heritage Park and Smith and Borman Elementary Schools to Bama Park will begin at 5:30 p.m. Bama Park will open at 6 p.m. Festivities for the night include a band, private organization booths, and games. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. and last approximately 25 minutes, and the band and games will resume afterwards and continue until 10 p.m. Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets, but do not bring pets, coolers or alcoholic beverages. The Wilmot and Swan gates will remain open after the fireworks for outbound traffic. In the event of inclement weather, please walk to the base theater or Community Center or take the bus back to your vehicle.
