New penalty for cell phone use while driving Published Dec. 9, 2008 By 355th Security Forces Squadron DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Currently, the use of cell phones (excluding hands free devices) while operating a motorized vehicle on the installation is prohibited. Personnel cited for a cell phone infraction are issued an AF Form 1408, (Armed Forces Traffic Ticket) and points are assessed against their driving record. The citing of personnel will remain in place, however an additional penalty will be incurred beginning Jan. 1. This penalty will be loss of installation driving privileges for seven days.
