Ward IV to host back to school bash

The Ward IV City Council will be holding its Eighth Annual Back to School Bash Aug. 9 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Clements Recreation Center, located at 8155 E. Poinciana Dr.

The back to school bash will have raffle prize drawings, backpack vouchers for each child and a grand prize drawing in which winners must be present. All the events are free of charge, however, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Schedule of events:
- Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.
- Bike Rodeo 9 a.m.
- Informational and interactive displays from 9 a.m. to noon featuring:
TDP, TFD, Tucson Water, Parks and Recreation, Pima Public Library, Tucson Recycles, Transportation and more
- Child I.D. & fingerprinting (children under 18) courtesy of Tucson Police Officers Association.
- Jumping Castle and Inflatable Obstacle Course
- Free School Supplies to all School-aged children provided by World Care "Tools for Schools"
- Free swim at the Clements Center Pool from noon to 7 p.m.
