It is that time ... time to mark your calendars for July 25, as Davis-Monthan holds its annual Senior Noncommissioned Officer Induction Ceremony. This year's theme is Wingman, leader, warrior ... a tradition of honor.

Master sergeant promotion results were released June 26 and D-M happily welcomed 108 new Senior NCOs to this elite group. As we know, the struggle for any promotion takes sacrifice from all members of the family; it is therefore, a great honor to have those closest to you share in this achievement. This induction ceremony will provide an excellent opportunity for family and friends alike to honor our inductees and share in their career milestone.

Promotion to master sergeant is the first step in assuming the demanding role of leader, advisor and counselor. While performing these roles, Senior NCOs will be invaluable to superiors and subordinates alike. These Senior NCOs are held to a higher standard and are required to hold others to the same. They will be looked upon as the operational leaders of their career fields and Airmen will eagerly await their insight on various subjects ranging from career progression to education. Senior NCOs must be the fountains of wisdom and possess clear judgment imparting sound advice and leadership skills for their followers. As the words wingman, leader, warrior, resonate in the Airman's Creed, so will the cheers, laughter and applause for those being honored.

We cordially invite you to join us July 25, at the Holiday Inn, 4550 South Pal Verde Blvd. Social hour will be at 6 p.m. Our guest speaker will be Air Combat Command, Command Chief Master Sgt. Stephen C. Sullens. For more information, call Master Sgt. Wendell Hill at 228-2954.
