Coggan Public Affairs DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Military Appreciation Night is scheduled to be held at 2500 E. Ajo Way at Tucson Electric Park June 13. Military Appreciation Day is designed to provide recognition to the men and women from all branches of the military. The purpose of the event is to recognize and thank military personnel for their service to our nation The Tucson Sidewinders game against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox will start at 7:00pm, and the gates will open at 5:30pm. In addition to enjoying the game, the Sidewinders seek to integrate as many of the services into the program itself in order to provide the highest possible visibility for the civilians attending the game. This includes participation through static displays, on-field demonstrations and various other activities throughout the game. The D-M fire department will have a hazardous material vehicle display, there will be an explosive ordinance disposal bomb-detection demo, military working dogs demonstration, A-10 flyover, and post game firework show. Contingents of all the major service branches will be participating. The level of each branch's participation depends on the depth of their presence in the Southern Arizona area. All D-M members' can pick up a free ticket from their first sergeant or the on-base Tickets and Tours Office. Each ticket will admit them to the game, with up to six guests.
