Thirty-seven volunteers helped more than 2,800 Airmen, dependents and retirees receive $4.3 million in refunds. VITA saved the D-M community more than $750,000 in preparation fees. "D-M is fortunate to have a strong VITA Program and I hope that the Airmen, retirees and their families continue to use the VITA program and its services," said Skip Barkley, VITA site coordinator. "It has been a long but very rewarding season helping the D-M family." Although the tax season is over, VITA still provides its services to Airmen returning from deployments and to those needing to complete amendments to their tax returns. If you need tax assistance, beginning May 5, call 228-3489. The VITA Program is always looking for volunteers for tax preparation or front office support for the next tax season.
