12 AF builds relations with Southern nations Published Jan. 15, 2008 By Airmen 1st Class Clara Ibanez 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Government agencies are working together to help four Central American countries revitalize their air force's capabilities. The Secretary of the Air Force International Affairs, U.S. Southern Command and Air Forces Southern are sponsors for RAMP, or Regional Aircraft Modernization Program for El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The program is a cost sharing initiative that will allow these nations to replace aging aircraft and combine efforts. To view the news clip, click here.
