AAFES wants us to be aware that AAFES can support any message that families wish to send to our Airmen over our AAFES Radio which plays in all of our facilities. There are some examples in the body of the message below what can be done.

AAFES Radio is an extremely valuable marketing tool for advertising sales events and merchandise in its facilities. But, it can also be used for command information, local command official announcements and other local items. Below are some examples of ways people can use AAFES RADIO.

At your next Base/Post command meeting, let the base/post commander know that he/she can use AAFES Radio to communicate directly with the troops by calling in and recording a message.

To have base/post officials or other individuals record announcements, just send the following info to: radio@aafes.com

Name/rank/title/base-post
Phone # (Commercial preferred- better audio quality)
Date/Time to contact (Central Time)

It's simple and it works wonders in strengthening partership between local command, the community and AAFES. Give it a try.

Following are some ideas for scripts:

Sample Script: "HI SHOPPERS, THIS IS COLONEL TOM SMITH OF THE 15TH FIGHTER SQUADRON REMINDING YOUR THAT EACH TIME YOU SHOP YOUR BX, A PORTION OF WHAT YOU SPEND GOES TO SUPPORT OUR MWR PROGRAMS RIGHT HERE AT DEWEY AFB. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT."
