The inspection is conducted every two years. After four days of inspecting, the team analyzed the results. "The maintenance professionals of the 355th Maintenance Group and the 355th Mission Support Group are providing exceptional support to the wing's demanding mission," said Lt. Col. Neal Robinson, Team Chief for ACC LSET. "The maintenance group's leadership developed a superb preparation plan for the evaluation that resulted in 100 percent personnel evaluation pass rates and a notable degree of compliance." The 355th Fighter Wing's Weapons Standardization Section also demonstrated a high level of expertise in evaluating loading operations which resulted in a 100 percent pass rate on all evaluated loading operations. The maintainers at the 355th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron generated high quality combat and training ready aircraft in support of an aggressive flying schedule and demanding mission. They concentrated on producing quality, airworthy aircraft. "The men and women of the 355th Maintenance Group and LRS performed admirably and with enthusiasm during our inspection," said Col Dennis W. Shumaker, Commander for the 355th Maintenance Group here. "Our maintainers work hard to deliver safe, reliable aircraft day in and day out and would not be able to turn a wheel without the world class support provided by 355th LRS." The 355th Component Maintenance Squadron provided exceptional on and off-equipment support in meeting the mission. Safe, quality maintenance remain the cornerstone of a strong maintenance organization. Their stellar leadership, at all levels, promotes a strong ethos of maintenance discipline as evident by their outstanding MSEP results throughout the evaluation visit. The maintainers in the 355th Equipment Maintenance Squadron continued to meet aggressive mission requirements for the 355th Fighter Wing and associate units. "Recent initiatives in both the C-130 and A-10 aircraft inspection processes show promise towards an increase in aircraft availability and enhanced combat capability, said Colonel Robinson. "Engaged leadership continue to foster an environment conducive to sound maintenance practices." "The 355th LRS provided excellent support to the wing's mission. The squadron has an exceptional mobility section and the unit's compliance efforts have yielded impressive results," said Colonel Robinson. The LSET recognized two "Honorable Mention" programs this year: the component maintenance squadron's Repair Cycle Tracking Log, and the logistics readiness squadron's Vacuum Sealing/"Kit Concept" for Mobility Bags.
