D-M prepares to get Mentally fit to fight Published Aug. 6, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Sivan Veazie 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz., -- The 355th Fighter Wing prepares for the upcoming Comprehensive Airman Fitness Day, Aug. 11. CAF is a lifestyle taught to strengthen an Airman with four domains: mental, physical, social and spiritual. This quarter's CAF Day focuses on the mental aspect. The Airmen will be educated on approaching life's challenges in a positive way by demonstrating self-control, stamina and good character with choices and actions; seeking help and also by offering it. "The mental domain allows us to have a clear mind so that we can get up", said Vincent Howard, community support coordinator. "After practicing the mental steps, it allows you have to balance your thinking in order to make better decisions." During CAF Day Airmen and civilians will be able to participate in various activities focusing on mental health.
