Throughout the year, D-M cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructors host training classes for Airmen and civilian employees who require the certification for various aspects of their jobs, including physical training leaders, deployments and temporary duty stations.

CPR is an emergency procedure for manually preserving brain function until further measures are available to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest.

According to the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation guidelines, CPR involves chest compressions at least two inches deep and at a rate of at least 100 compressions per minute to pump blood through the heart and to the body.

To become CPR qualified you must get in contact with one of the instructors at D-M and pass the evaluation assessment.
