Installation driving privileges and suspensions Published March 19, 2014 By 355th Security Forces Squadron Installation Security DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The 355 Security Forces Squadron would like to ensure the public is aware of an important topic concerning installation driving privileges and how to ensure you keep the right to drive on base. "Part of our job is ensuring the base populace is educated and aware of our base traffic code and in particular, driving suspension and revocations" said MSgt Kirk Lugar, 355th Security Forces Squadron installation security superintendent. Driving privileges may be suspended or revoked for any of the following reasons: Detained and/or apprehended for drunk driving, driving under the influence of drugs, and/or refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer Test or a Blood Alcohol Test. Driving on suspended/revoked states driver's license or while under an installation suspension/revocation. Operating an uninsured vehicle in violation of the vehicle code. Accumulating 12 moving point violations within 12 consecutive months or 18 moving violation points within 24 consecutive months. Having been charged with manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle, using a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, fleeing the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury (hit and run), perjury or making false statements relating to the ownership or operation of motor vehicles, or the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle belonging to another, not amounting to a felony.
