A family event was held at the Mirage Club on base Dec. 10.

The "Pasta and Pajama Holiday Celebration" event welcomed families to come wearing their coziest pajamas and make their own pasta dish, then sit back and relax while the movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," was presented.

"I think it's a good event for the kids to sit down, eat dinner and watch a kid's movie especially during Christmas time," said Staff Sgt. Andrew Avery, 355th Component Maintenance Squadron.

This was the first year for this event, which had approximately 50 people in attendance.

"It's great to see families spending time together and taking advantage of the club programs," said 1st Lt. Melinda Monahan, 355th Force Support Squadron sustainment services deputy flight commander. "The club manager, Jerry Edwards, and his team are doing great things and are actively creating new exciting events for our D-M families."

Diners were able to customize their pasta dish with a variety of meats, vegetables, and sauces.

Popcorn, cookies and cotton candy were provided throughout the movie.
