The Air Force is constantly in motion. Deployments, temporary duty assignments and permanent changes of station have personnel and equipment moving around the world at any given time.

All of this travel requires planning and paperwork, and the Air Force recently got a new travel agent to handle all of that.

WingGate Travel is the new U.S. Government Commercial Travel Contractor for all official travel for the Air Force.

"The CTO is committed to providing our Desert Lightning Team customers the best service to facilitate their official travel needs," said Lisa Minkos, 355th Logistics Readiness Squadron Passenger Services supervisor.

For any official travel, you will receive an e-mail from WingGate with a link to a "travelport" website.

Minkos advises members not to delete the e-mail containing the link, as it is the only one you will receive from the company concerning your official travels.

If the link is lost, or not working, you can access your personal travel information by visiting www.winggategts.com.

"This website has many features, to include on-line check-ins, car rental coupons, government contract airfares and the current per diem rates from around the world," Minkos said.
