D-M Load Crew of the Year competition
Load crew members representing the 357th Aircraft Maintenance Unit prepare to load an AIM/9 Training Missile onto an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft during the annual Load Crew competition on the flight line here Jan. 28. This competition consists of a uniform inspection, written, and performance test in which teams are judged on how fast they can safely load one AIM/9 missile and two GBU-12 bombs onto the Triple Ejector Rack (TER) of an A-10 Thunderbolt II. This competition determines the winners of the Load Crew of the Year award. Winners will be announced at the Maintenance Professional of the Year banquet in February.
