DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. - A member of the Davis-Monthan fire and emergency services flight dons his protective gear and demonstrates the precautions all firefighters must take before entering into a dangerous situation as part of fire prevention week here Oct. 6, 2010. Children attending Borman Elementary School participated in several activities hosted by the D-M fire department to include smoke detector drills, a hose crawl and bunker relays. The theme for National Fire Prevention Week this year is ‘Beep! Beep! Beep! Smoke Alarms: A sound you can live with’ highlights the importance of fire safety within the home.
