Pilot for a Day

Airman 1st Class David Russell, 355th Civil Engineer Squadron, explains some of the features of the fire truck to Pilot for a Day participant Marcus Lucero, seven years old, at the D-M Fire Department here Feb. 19. Marcus and his family were provided with a tour of the base to include a visit to the 358th Fighter Squadron, the air traffic control tower and the 355th Operations Group, where he had the opportunity to fly in an A-10 simulator. This program affords children with disabilities or serious illnesses with a day devoted to them and their interest in aviation. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman Jerilyn Quantanilla)
