Staff Sgt. Justin Samaniego, 48th Rescue Squadron, holds his 4-month-old daughter, Kassie, here, Jan. 19. Sergeant Samaniego, along with 18 members of the 48th Rescue Squadron returned home Jan. 19 night after a three month deployment to Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan where they contributed to more than 1,800 flights, approximately 350 saves and 600 assists.
