Gen. Hoffman visits 309th AMARG

DAVIS-MONTHAN AFB, Ariz. (AFMCNS) -- Gen. Donald Hoffman, commander of Air Force Materiel Command, gets a first-hand look at sustainment operations for the C-130 and A-10 during a visit to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group here April 13. Realigned in 2007 under the 309th Maintenance Wing, located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, AMARG is one of a dozen AFMC major units or bases General Hoffman has toured during what he terms "immersion visits" since he assumed command in November 2008. At every opportunity, he emphasizes AFMC's five priorities, which are to reinvigorate AFMC's role in the nuclear enterprise; implement effective and efficient integrated life-cycle management to support the warfighter; support the Air Force by recruiting, training, and retaining a high-performing workforce; nurture and protect the command's people and families, and be good stewards of government resources. AFMC headquarters is at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Heather A. Cabral)
