Hero for a Day: Chase Lock

Angel Lock traces the feet of her son, Chase, to be painted green during a tour of the 92r3d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., May 8, 2014. It is a tradition in the unit to paint departing members’ feet green and place their footprints on ceiling tiles. Since Chase was a distinguished visitor in the squadron, but didn’t want to get hit feet dirty, his mother and unit members traced his feet, painted the tile and then placed the tile in the ceiling to be displayed with all the past members of the unit.
