Holocaust Day of Remembrance
Nine candles burn for the Holocaust Day of Remembrance at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., May 7, 2015. The first 6 candles were lit to honor the 6 million Jewish Holocaust victims. The 7th was lit to remember the remaining millions of non-Jewish victims of the Nazis. The remaining two candles symbolized appreciation to symbolize to the members of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Allied forces for their role in liberating the victims of the Holocaust.
