D-M to host local Tucsonan as Pilot for a Day

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- A local Tucson child will visit Davis-Monthan Air Force Base to become a "Pilot for a Day," Dec. 4.

Noah Hepner, 10, along with members of his family, will be hosted by the 47th Fighter Squadron.

Noah’s Pilot for a Day experience will include a visit to an A-10 Thunderbolt II simulator, an A-10 static display and the Security Forces Squadron Armory.

The Pilot for a Day program focuses on children of all ages who have terminal or chronic conditions. D-M AFB invites these children to be guests of the 355th Fighter Wing for a full day of fun and activities. The goal of the program is to give each child and family a special day and a break from the daily challenges they face.
