DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The D-M fire department received accreditation March 22, 2017.
The Commission on Fire Accreditation International granted the accredited status. The D-M fire department is now one of 236 accredited agencies worldwide.
Accreditation is a voluntary process which assures the agency’s stakeholders and public they have objectives that meet the needs of their community, provides a detailed evaluation of services, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and provides an opportunity for communication of organizational priorities.
Davis-Monthan Fire Emergency Services has shown commitment and dedication to continually improving their service to their community. They incorporated a peer assessment team to verify and validate that the department was practicing their plan of action and to make recommendations for improvement.
