Davis-Monthan to host “Pilot for a day” 16 May Published May 13, 2013 By 020513 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- A local Tucson boy will visit D-M to become a "Pilot for a Day" May 16. Ten year old Abrium Reyes, along with members of his family, will be hosted by the 79th Rescue Squadron who will give them a tour of the base. The tour will include a stop at the A-10 simulator as well as a C-130 and an A-10 display. "Pilot for a Day" focuses on children who have serious or chronic conditions. Davis-Monthan invites these children of all ages, military dependants or civilian, to be a guest of the 355th Fighter Wing and one of D-M's operations squadrons for a full day of activities. In doing so, we strive to give each child a special day and a break from the challenges they may face. Media wishing to cover the event should contact the 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office at 520-228-3202 or 355fw.pg@dm.af.mil by 12 p.m. on 15 May.
