Dependent found dead in base housing Published June 17, 2011 By 020611 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The dependent of an Airman assigned to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base was pronounced dead after being found unconscious and not breathing in her base housing residence today. The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified. "Any time we lose a member of our Air Force family, it's a very sad day," said Col. John A. Cherrey, 355th Fighter Wing commander. "We, as a base, offer our sincerest condolences to those mourning this great loss with us." The death is currently under investigation.
