Airman dead after traffic accident

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz --  An Airman assigned to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is dead following a traffic accident today at 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate 10 and Kolb.



The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified.



"The loss of this Airman is deeply felt by us all," said Col. John A. Cherrey, 355th Fighter Wing commander. "The entire base's thoughts are with the family, friends and co-workers who will be without this Airman this holiday season."
