Adopt-A-Street Ceremony at D-M Published Oct. 1, 2013 By 011013 DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. - -- There will be an Adopt-A-Street Ceremony for the 48th Rescue Squadron's Aircrew Flight Equipment Flight here at 48th Rescue Squadron Oct. 4. The 48th Rescue Squadron's Aircrew Flight Equipment Flight adopted Broadway Boulevard between Craycroft Road and Wilmot Road. The 48th Rescue Squadron's Aircrew Flight Equipment Flight has completed their six-month mandatory evaluation period and will be presented with a sign by Tucson Clean and Beautiful Inc. The guest speaker for the Adopt- A-Street initiation Ceremony will be Jonathan Rothschild, Mayor for the City of Tucson and Ed Wilmes, Transportation Administrator, Streets & Traffic Maintenance for the Tucson Department of Transportation. Approximately 15 Airmen from Davis-Monthan AFB will be conducting a 1-Mile Adopt-A-Street cleanup on Golf Links Road between Swan Road and Aviation parkway sign at 9:30 a.m. Tucson Clean & Beautiful is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1985 as the flagship for community based environmental volunteer efforts in the Tucson metropolitan area. Its programs have grown to address recycling and waste reduction, urban forestry, land stewardship, and beautification.
