POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. - -- A Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the 755th Aircraft Maintenance hangar here at 9 a.m. Sept. 20.

The POW/MIA remembrance guest speaker will be a former POW Mr. John Swett. He was captured and detained during World War II while serving in Germany. Swett was a Corporal assigned to the U.S. Army's 106th Division, H Company, 423rd Regiment, 3rd Platoon when he was captured. His camp was liberated by General George S. Patton's Third Army on April 2, 1945.
