Quitting tobacco

  • Published
Smoking and chewing can lead to many health conditions that may affect you sooner or later than you expect. Healing takes place immediately after you quit with noticeable differences. The Health and Wellness Center (HAWC) can assist you in this journey to quit. This journey may require assistance with medication therapy along with education and support. The HAWC offers several options to receive therapy such as American Lung Association quit line at 1-877-695-7848, or the American Cancer Society's on-line module class. A new four-week support class will start Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 12 - 1 pm. Call 228-7238 to register or get more information.
