Davis-Monthan AFB Honorary Commanders Program

The Honorary Commander (HCC) Program is designed to strengthen relationships between Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the local community. The program pairs local community leaders with base/squadron commanders to enhance public awareness of the base and our mission.

The HCC program connects community leaders with the Airmen who make the mission happen. In turn, DMAFB commanders and service members get to learn more about the communities in which they live and serve. Honorary Commanders are encouraged to share their experiences and insights with the broader community, acting as advocates and unofficial spokespersons for the Air Force.

Participants are typically selected from a diverse cross-section of the community, including leaders from local businesses, schools, law enforcement, emergency management, chambers of commerce, civic groups, community service groups and volunteer organizations.
