D-M to host local Tucsonan as ‘Pilot for a Day’

Release Number: 021214

A local Tucson young  man will visit D-M to become a "Pilot for a Day" Dec 4.

Nineteen-year-old Sergio Quiroz, along with members of his family, will be hosted by the 357th Fighter Squadron and will be given a tour of the base.

The tour will include a stop at the A-10 and parachute simulators as well as an A-10 display.

The "Pilot for a Day" program focuses on children who have serious or chronic conditions. Davis-Monthan invites these children of all ages, as guests of the 355th Fighter Wing and one of D-M's squadrons for a full day of fun and activities. In doing so, we strive to give each child a special day and a break from the challenges they may face.

Media who wish to cover Pilot for a Day should contact the 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office at 520-228-3406 or 355WGPA@us.af.mil by 4:30 p.m. on Dec 3.
