Col. Clinton Eichelberger, 355th Operations Group commander, will address the media at 1 p.m. regarding the hard landing that occurred at D-M shortly before 11 p.m. yesterday.

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

During the incident, the pilot performed emergency checklists and was able to land the aircraft safely on the approved runway.  There were no injuries to the pilot or ground personnel.

The aircraft is being transported off the runway. The base runway will remain nonoperational until all debris is cleared. As soon as additional details become available they will be provided.
