Members of the DM-50 hosted their annual picnic at Bama Park here March 31.

The DM-50 is a group that functions as an advocate for the base and attempts to assist in bridging relationships between DM and the leaders of Tucson and Pima County.

Approximately 3,000 active duty, families, retirees and guests attended the five-hour long event.

Families were able to enjoy a plethora of free activities, including a car show, 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regenerations Group tours, a petting zoo, bouncy castles, pony and train rides, music, food, drinks and much more.

"These events allow families an opportunity to unwind and enjoy quality time together," said Master Sgt. Rhonda Roman, 355th Communications Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of quality assurance. "Families get to see how much the military is appreciated in the local community."
